The Ministry of Territorial Policy (MPT) has signed with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD) an interdepartmental agreement for the development of joint actions of the energy transition plan in the General Administration of the State in the Territory (in Government Delegations and Subdelegations) within the framework of investment 4 of component 11 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

The agreement seeks to gradually reduce the energy demand of the infrastructures and buildings of the Government Delegations and Subdelegations, whose management corresponds to the MPT, promote the energy rehabilitation of buildings and the improvement of the energy efficiency of energy consuming infrastructures.

To this end, the Ministry of Territorial Policy will carry out a series of actions in public buildings of the Delegations and Subdelegations of the Government of different municipalities in the amount of 9,414,668.41 million euros. These actions will allow the energy renewal of a total of 18,049.92 m2 with a reduction in energy consumption of at least 30% in all cases, together with the improvement in at least one letter for the purposes of the corresponding energy efficiency certificate, thus contributing to the fulfillment of the objectives assumed in the framework of investment 4 of component 11 of the PRTR.

The buildings of the government delegations in Castilla La Mancha, Baleares and Cantabria and the subdelegations in Huelva, Guadalajara, Ciudad Real and Lleida will be rehabilitated. Thus, projects such as the Integral Rehabilitation of the Multiple Services Building of the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands will be undertaken, including the renovation of carpentry, air conditioning, ventilation and luminaires or the Integral Rehabilitation of the building of the Government Delegation in Castilla-La Mancha, respecting the facades.
