The fourth of the meetings convened by the Government Delegation for the coordination of the security, mobility and civil protection mechanism for the activities planned during the eclipse of August 12 was held today in Collado Medio.
With it, the round of territorial meetings in the area where the 93 municipalities are to enjoy a high visibility of the event has been completed. Coordination will continue in the coming weeks with technical meetings to continue preparing the device.
On this occasion, in addition to the hosts, the municipalities of: Alpedrete, Becerril de la Sierra, Cercedilla, Collado Villalba, El Boalo-Cerceda-Mataelpino, Hoyo de Manzanares, Los Molinos, Moralzarzal and Navacerrada.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, who has presided over it, wanted to thank all those who have responded to this call for their assistance, their willingness to collaborate and their commitment to work together to ensure that all activities are carried out in safety.
They have accompanied the delegate of the Government, in addition to the mayors of the area, responsible for the Citizen Security and Civil Protection units of the Delegation; representatives of the State Security Forces and Bodies; of the General Directorate of Traffic; of the Community of Madrid and of the local police of the peoples of the area.
This is the fourth of the meetings convened to reinforce the institutional and operational coordination of the device that may be necessary on the occasion of the eclipse and that have had as scenarios Buitrago de Lozoya, El Molar and Alcalá de Henares.
