The crime rate in Coslada remains eleven points below the average in the Community of Madrid, as can be seen from the analysis of the latest data on security in the municipality carried out at the Local Security Board held today.
During the meeting, co-chaired by the delegate of the Government in The Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the mayor of the municipality, Ángel Viveros Gutiérrez, a positive evolution of the main indicators of criminality has been recorded, among which there has been a decrease of close to 2%, both in serious and minor crimes.
Martín Aguirre has valued that “Coslada a very safe city in a region such as the Community of Madrid that is currently in the historical lows of criminality” A reality that is “the result of an extraordinary work between the Local Police and the National Police and the spirit of coordination and interinstitutional loyalty”.
In this regard, the delegate stressed “the importance of this interinstitutional coordination for those complex problems in Coslada and in other parts of the region that require it”.
Security device for employer parties
The Board, in which representatives of the Municipal Corporation, the Community of Madrid, the Civil Guard, Local Police, National Police, Firefighters, Emergencies and Civil Protection have participated, has also established the guidelines of the Comprehensive Security Plan for its patron saint’s parties.
The operation seeks to guarantee the safety of all the activities that will take place in the main venues such as the La Vía football field, the Peñas venue, the fairground or Plaza Mayor, both in the minor festivities that are held this weekend and for the major festivities that will take place in June. To this end, the special unit will coordinate personnel from the Local Police, National Police, Emergencies, Civil Protection and Firefighters.
“Let’s hope that our neighbors enjoy the civic behavior that we all want, as well as the neighbors who come to visit us from other municipalities. The festivities are going to be very attractive and very safe,” said the Cosladean councillor.
