The Superior Prosecutor of the Community of Madrid, María Isabel Martín López, received today from the Government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, the Plan of Action against Sexual Violence in the Community of Madrid 2026-2027, in a meeting held at the headquarters of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office.
The presentation is part of the round of institutional meetings promoted by the Government Delegation to share this road map and promote the involvement of the main institutions in its development and follow-up. However, two weeks after the presentation of the Plan, it is still waiting for some response after requesting collaboration from the Community of Madrid and the Madrid Federation of Municipalities.
María Isabel Martín López was appointed Senior Prosecutor of the Community of Madrid by Royal Decree last May, following the proposal of the Attorney General of the State and the agreement of the Council of Ministers. From this position he directs and coordinates the action of the Fiscal Ministry in the region, playing an essential role in the institutional response to crimes such as sexual violence and in the protection of the rights of victims.
Presented on July 7, the Action Plan against Sexual Violence in the Community of Madrid 2026-2027 is the result of two years of work and 53 meetings with administrations, security forces and bodies, legal operators, social entities, professional associations and experts. The document is articulated in three strategic axes, six objectives and twenty operational measures to strengthen prevention, improve institutional coordination and ensure comprehensive, specialized and victim-centred care.
