The Average Period of Payment to Suppliers (PMP) decreased in February 2026 in all Public Administrations - Central Administration, Autonomous Communities, Local Entities and Social Security Funds. In particular, the PMP has decreased in the Autonomous Communities by 2.41 days (-8.04%), to 27.58 days, which means that it remains below the 30 days established as a legal limit.
Madrid at a good pace
The Community of Madrid, for its part, is situated this February as the Community with a shorter payment period of 15.40 days; a downward trend that seems to be maintained in recent months.
For its part, the payment term of the Central Administration has been encrypted in the second month of the year in 23.55 days, while the Local Entities in the transfer model have a payment term to suppliers of 31.19 days in the month of February, which is 0.07 days less than in the same month of the previous year.
The municipalities of Madrid
The municipalities with more inhabitants in the Community of Madrid reflect more diverse trends, since it will depend on the actions undertaken and planned.
Thus, most municipalities exceed the payment period of the Community itself, except Madrid, Alcorcón (6,17), Fuenlabrada (10,88) Pozuelo de Alarcón (10,42) or Torrejón de Ardoz (13,52) which maintain a very short payment period in relation to the others; Parla stands out in this aspect with a period five times above the desired. 30 days. Also Getafe is the second with the highest PMP among the largest municipalities with 84.66 and a ratio of pending operations of 190 that is quite high.
If we talk about averages, we must point out that the largest municipalities have a payment ratio greater than 30 days, that is, 38.03, compared to the improvement maintained by all the municipalities in Madrid that make the Community stand at those 15.40 days.

The Central Administration’s PMP stood at 23.55 days in February 2026, a decrease of 2.56 days compared to January 2026.
The ratio of paid trades has stood at 25.89 days, while the ratio of unpaid trades has reached 20.62 days.
