The renewal of this infrastructure is in addition to the other interventions carried out in the region’s state road network since 2018 worth more than 735 million euros
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, visited today the repair works of the upper pass located at km 30.25 of the A-6 motorway that is being executed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and that are a further demonstration of the “commitment of the Government of Spain to mobility, security and transport” of the people of Madrid.
In the renovation of this structure, which connects the service roads of both directions of the motorway and allows access to Torrelodones Colonia through the M-519, an existing budget of 4.04 million euros has been invested, which is in addition to the more than 730 million euros that the Government of Spain has invested in the improvement of the state-owned road network of the region since 2018.
Accompanied by the head of the Madrid Road Demarcation, Gloria Ramos; the third deputy mayor of Torrelodones, Óscar Fernández; and responsible for the work, the government delegate, who has described this work as “very important for the area”, has defended the “good planning” with which the intervention has been carried out, which is already very close to completion, trying to cause the least possible harm and inconvenience to the neighbors.
This intervention is in addition to others that are underway in the region in localities such as Collado Villalba or Alpedrete, all aimed at improving the mobility and quality of life of the citizens of the Community of Madrid.
Description of the works
Since the beginning of the performance, the following works have been carried out:
• Provisional apeo of the upper passage.
• Shoe and batteries on the median of the A-6 motorway for the new central support.
• Healing and reinforcement of the board, which has led to:
• Hydrodemolition works of the upper part of the concrete.
• Placement of new armor and concrete, with the spread of a high resistance and waterproofing product.
• Reconstruction of the central part of the overhangs.
• Execution of strut under board to connect it with the new batteries.
The remaining works until the completion of the works are as follows:
• Transmission of loads to the new batteries and removal of the provisional apeo.
• Replacement of the firm, signalling elements and containment systems.
• Protection of concrete walls.
• Reconstruction of the median of the A-6 motorway after the withdrawal of the provisional roadways.
• Replacement of the firm on the motorway once the traffic diversion ends.
