The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility awards for 796,418.85 euros (VAT included) the contract of works for the correction of sound levels on the A-6 Motorway of Madrid, in the stretch between the kilometers 12,600 and 13, in the district of Moncloa-Aravaca.
The aforementioned stretch, which went to tender Last October, it already has 340 linear meters of screens installed between 12.74 and 12.89 kilometers of the A-6 on its right margin, with heights between 2 and 4.80 m. However, it has been found that such screens are not enough and therefore it is proposed to increase their length and height.
Thus, after this action the section will have a total of 183.12 linear meters of screens with heights between 4 and 6 m.
The screens will have one metallic part and another of methacrylate and to improve their aesthetic behavior the screens will be equipped with an anti-graffiti treatment from the factory.
This operation will allow a significant reduction in noise pollution, improving the well-being of citizens and demonstrating the commitment of the administration to the creation of healthier and sustainable urban environments.
This action is included within the program of conservation and maintenance of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry has invested 847.16 million euros since June 2018 in the Community of Madrid, and which generates a significant impulse to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
