The Government will create 32 new tax places in Madrid

• It will represent an increase of 9.38% of its current workforce.

The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños, announced on Monday the proposal for the territorial distribution of the 200 new fiscal seats that the Government will create and convene this 2026. This is the largest creation of fiscal seats in history and will mean an increase in the current staffing of the Fiscal Ministry of 7.13%, from 2,804 places to 3,004.

In a media attention carried out with the Attorney General of the State, Teresa Peramato, the Minister has stressed that fiscal positions will be created in all the autonomous communities and central bodies and that the proposal has been elaborated taking into account both the workload and the current size of the staff.

Of these 200 new places, 32 will be created in Madrid, which will mean an increase of 9.38% of its current staff.

Madrid will also have 32 new judicial seats

The minister stressed that this record creation of fiscal seats is in addition to the also historic creation of judicial seats, 500 this 2026, which will mean an 8.5% increase in the judicial plant in our country.

In Madrid, 69 seats for judges will be created to strengthen the courts of instance and other bodies such as the provincial hearings or the High Court of Justice, which will also be created this 2026. It is the largest extension of the judicial plant in the history of Madrid.

An investment of more than 22.5 million in a record creation of tax seats

In total, the Ministry will invest more than 22.5 million euros in creating these 200 positions of prosecutors to improve and streamline the Public Justice Service. One more milestone of the greatest transformation of Justice in decades.

This record in the creation of seats, both for judges and prosecutors, is possible thanks to the Law on Efficiency of the Public Service of Justice, which introduces a more modern and efficient organizational model. If creating a former single-person court had an approximate cost of 500,000 euros, with the courts of instance judicial seats can be created by spending five times less.

Today begins the process for the final approval of the Royal Decree that creates the 200 seats in the Council of Ministers.
