61 Asturian farmers and ranchers will receive 191,000 euros from the National Reserve of Basic Income Aid of the CAP

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food allocates 10.4 million euros from the national reserve of basic aid to the income of the CAP.

In total, 2,094 farmers and ranchers have received basic income support rights, of which 81% are young people.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has completed the allocation of the national reserve of basic income aid for the sustainability of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), corresponding to the 2025 campaign, for a total amount of 10,421,917 euros.

With the supplementary allocation to which the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund was already made in February, these rights benefit in total 2,094 farmers and ranchers, mainly young (81%), who receive an average allocation of 4,977 euros per holder. In Asturias, 61 farmers and ranchers will receive this fund for a total amount of 191,316 euros.

This year’s national reserve allocation once again highlights the allocation granted to young people, who account for 81% of the beneficiaries of this payment, 1,705 farmers and ranchers, with an average allocation of 5,290 euros and a total amount of 9,020,253 euros. These young farmers also benefit from additional aid, which means an amount per hectare equal to the average value of the region where the area of the farm is located, up to a maximum of 100 hectares.

For their part, the new farmers have received a total of 1,181,074 euros, to be distributed among 257 beneficiaries, which means an average allocation of 4,596 euros per beneficiary.

Rights have also been granted to a total of 132 beneficiaries in the case of disadvantaged farmers, with an average allocation of EUR 1,671 per beneficiary.

According to the information submitted by the autonomous communities to the EAGGF Basic Payment Rights Management Database, the final territorial distribution of the national reserve 2025 is as follows:

In the 2025 campaign, no applications have been registered for farmers participating in restructuring programs, a possibility contemplated in the National Reserve since 2023.

Young and new farmers maintain the priority in the allocations of the national reserve of the new basic income support for sustainability for the period 2023-2027, so this mechanism is confirmed as a fundamental tool to favor the generational change in agricultural activity.
