The City of Serranillos del Valle has finished coordinating the Security Plan of the Patron Festivities in honor of San Roque 2026, which will be intensified between August 5 and 16, and which includes matters such as security, mobility, institutional coordination and emergency response. All of this with the aim of ensuring the safety of neighbors, visitors, feriantes, hosteleros and peñas, as well as the normal development of traffic and legal commercial activity.
The planned activities are mainly concentrated in the fairgrounds, Plaza del Puente, Plaza de España, Paseo de la Alameda and Calle Río, and will be supported and reinforced by agents of the Civil Guard (also of the USECI) and other local police. In addition, the Group of Volunteers of Civil Protection of Serranillos del Valle will collaborate on traffic and first aid.
It was during the Local Security Board of the municipality that was co-chaired by the Subdelegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of Serranillos del Valle, Rubén Fernández; and it had the participation of members of the Government team, Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection and Community of Madrid.
Pilar Trinidad has taken the opportunity to remember that Serranillos del Valle maintains a crime rate well below the average of the region, which in March 2026 was established at 34.7 points, much lower than the average of the Community of Madrid (55.2).
Likewise, he wanted to congratulate them on the Security Plan prepared and for having taken into account in it the recommendations that have been transferred in other previous meetings on issues such as completion times.
Moving forward in VioGén
On the other hand, it has requested that they evaluate the further progress in its incorporation into the VioGén system of monitoring and protection of victims of gender violence, since it began the procedures in October 2024, with the accession to the Protocol of the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
Pilar Trinidad has encouraged them to continue with the procedure with the elaboration and signing of a Protocol of Coordination and Collaboration with the Civil Guard and the constitution of the police coordination table.
