Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Oviedo in the specialty of Family and Community Medicine.

Official of the Galician Service of Saúde da la Xunta de Galicia (primary care doctor) for 27 years in different municipalities of the province of Lugo. Since 1996 he has worked in the Centre of Saúde de Viveiro, first as an interim and with a fixed place since 2006.

In 2007 she was elected councillor of the City of Viveiro and from that date she held the position of deputy mayor and delegate councillor of Social Services until her appointment as subdelegate of the Government in the province of Lugo. Secretary of Health in the Galician national executive of the PSOE between the years 2013 and 2016. She is currently secretary of social services for the provincial socialist executive of Lugo.

Born in Baamorto (Monforte de Lemos) in 1956. She is married and has no children.
