The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and CaixaBank promote the acceleration of 15 emerging companies, selected for their innovative character and high growth potential within the agro-technological sector, through a specialized executive training course.
The projects developed in this fourth edition of the Agrobank Tech Digital Innovation program aim to respond to key challenges such as transformative technologies in the agricultural sector, intelligent water management, circular economy and biotechnology, innovation in packaging, storage and logistics, and data platforms and intelligent traceability.
Among the 15 finalist companies, which have been selected among 196 applications and come from 14 provinces of 10 autonomous communities, is the Madrid company MiFood Robot, specialized in the use of robots for the collection of fruit and vegetables using artificial intelligence.
Collaboration between the Ministry and Caixabank
The Agrobank Tech Digital Innovation program was born in 2023 with the aim of responding to the great challenges of the agri-food sector, as well as attracting and retaining technological talent for its application in the industry.
Within the framework of this collaboration with CaixaBank, extended until 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will this year allocate 640,000 euros to innovative initiatives. The agreement provides for a global allocation of 4.6 million euros.
