The Government has authorized the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to tender, through Adif, the contract for comprehensive maintenance services of the 163 railway stations in the central area, for an estimated value of 13.9 million euros (VAT not included).
The contract covers the stations in the provinces of Madrid, Ciudad Real, Toledo, Guadalajara, Ávila, Segovia and Soria, which offer high-speed, long- and medium-distance passenger transport services, as well as the stations in the nucleus of Cerca de Madrid. Its objective is to guarantee the quality and reliability of the facilities and ensure their maximum operation to offer the best service to travelers.
The maintenance service will be carried out by performing scheduled actions and repair work that optimizes the availability of all installed equipment and systems.
The provision of the service includes the execution of preventive and technical-legal maintenance, conductive, corrective, technical office and the review and control of assets, among others. It also includes the provision of manpower, consumables, consumables and auxiliary means of any kind that are necessary to carry out the work.
Likewise, the provision of the service achieves the execution of additional actions of great repair and investments due to causes that occur in components of buildings or facilities, with the aim of increasing their reliability and extending their useful life.
In the case of the Cerca de Madrid stations, the maintenance service is based on monitoring the state of the facilities to transfer it to the manager (Renfe Cerca de Madrid) and ensure that the manager performs the necessary corrective actions.
This work contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 9, which promotes reliable, sustainable and quality infrastructures.
