More than half a hundred social entities have been received today in the Government Delegation to share the evolution of the first days of the extraordinary regularization process, which has been activated in April and will last until June 30, 2026.
At the meeting, led by the delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, and the subdelegate of the Government, Pilar Trinidad, the representatives of the entities have been able to express their impressions on the progress of the process, resolve operational doubts, share possible incidents and coordination to improve the attention to the applicants.
Francisco Martín has described the meeting as “very productive and constructive” and wanted to take this opportunity to thank the social fabric for their work and commitment in this process in which they are advising and accompanying migrants in an irregular situation or asylum seekers to obtain their residence and/or work permit, if they arrived in Spain before January 1, 2026.
In fact, there are already about 300 social entities authorized by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration to collaborate in the processing, more than 60 in the Community of Madrid.
The government delegate has assured that this initiative was “absolutely essential” and a demand for “dignity and justice”, and has again demanded the commitment of all the administrations involved to contribute to its success. “Unfortunately, as the entities are transferring us, the process is representing more difficulties than those foreseen by the express boycott of the regional and municipal administrations of Madrid,” said Martín.
Among the entities attending, they have been: Cáritas, Red Cross, CCOO, UGT, Spanish Commission for Aid to Refugees (CEAR), Red Acow, Fundación Accem, ProVivienda, Doctors of the World, Asociación Solydarydida, Jesuit Service to Migrants - Spain, YMCA, San Ricardo Pampuri, Mundo Justo, Mundo en Movimiento, Movimiento por la Paz, el Disarming y la Libertad, Fundación La Merced, Fundación Juanjo Alba
