- Affectations will occur until the month of April.
- The first phase of the works was carried out during the months of October and November 2025, with the disassembly of the board and its storage.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility continues with the repair and replacement works of the top step board that gives access to the M-40 (in the northern sense) from the neighborhood of Sanchinarro, in Madrid, at the height of kilometer 1.85 of the M-40, with an investment of 7.5 million euros (VAT included).
Today, Wednesday, March 25, the work of demolition, removal and waste management of the board previously disassembled from the aforementioned upper passage has begun.
The first phase of the works was carried out during the months of October and November 2025 and consisted of the disassembly of the board and its storage in safe conditions.
The second phase started today, 25 March, continues with the controlled demolition, removal and management of waste.
Simultaneously with the aforementioned actions of the board, work is being carried out on the construction and adaptation of the infrastructure, stirrups and batteries, for the placement of the new board.
In order to carry out the planned actions and in order to guarantee traffic safety conditions, it is necessary to carry out certain traffic restrictions, which are indicated below:
- From today Wednesday, March 25th and until approximately Monday, April 13th: Closing of the exit branch 2-B towards the M-11 motorway. Traffic from the trunk of the M-40 south direction will access the M-11 motorway through the 2-A exit and the service road.
- From today Wednesday, March 25th and until approximately Monday, April 27th: Closing of the branch of the service road from the A-1 motorway towards the trunk of the M-40 direction south. Access from the side service road to the central road of the M-40 will be restricted, being incorporated to the M-40 through the M-11 and Glorieta de Hortaleza.
