Social Security membership remains at record highs, with the 3.9 million people employed in mid-February hovering in seasonally adjusted terms—if seasonality and calendar effect are discounted.
In particular, The figure amounts to 3,843,181 affiliates, after adding 121,624 in the last year, although it has fallen 17,174 in the last two fortnights due, perhaps, to the Christmas effect. Of these, all the members, 623,374 are foreigners.
According to the latest data, the total number of affiliates has increased by 196,490 people in the adjusted series since December 2023 and by 336,153 since December 2022, before the entry into force of the labor reform.
97% of the affiliations were given in the general regime. While last month more than 25% of new affiliates nationwide took place in the Community of Madrid.
