Born in Zaragoza, in 1964.
Graduated in Hispanic Philology from the University of Zaragoza, he began his professional career as a teacher in various teaching centers, including the IES Maria Antònia Salvà (Llucmajor) and the IES Calvià (Santa Ponça), where he also served as head of studies and director. Además, dirigió el Institut de Convivència i Èxit Escolar del Govern Balear (2007-2010).
Between 2015 and 2023 he has been mayor of Calvià and, as such, he has held the presidency of the Tourism Commission of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), from 2019 until this same year, and, previously, he was vice-president of the Federation of Local Entities in the Balearic Islands (FELIB).
Very involved in the sporting activity of his municipality, he is a national basketball coach.
