Boadilla del Monte will have a coordinated security device between the Local Police and the Civil Guard for its festivities in San Babilés, which today has been reviewed at the Local Security Board held in the municipality.
Co-chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of Boadilla del Monte, Javier Úbeda Liébana, representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police, the municipal government team, Civil Protection and the Community of Madrid have also participated.
Pilar Trinidad wanted to congratulate both the Local Police and Civil Protection for the security plans they have presented, for the magnificent work done, and for the fact that they have been sent sufficiently in advance so that they can be studied carefully before the celebration of the Local Board.
It is a plan of execution of services dimensioned to the growth that these festivities have experienced, with special focus on prevention and to guarantee the attention to the whole municipality.
At the same time as congratulating them on this specific work, it has also done so for the work they do on a daily basis and that allows Boadilla del Monte to stand in line in terms of the crime rate of the Community of Madrid, fruit of good coordination with both the Local Police and the emergency services.
The festivities of San Babilés, patron saint of Boadilla del Monte, will be held from May 29 to June 1 and have a complete program of celebrations that includes concerts and performances, children’s activities, the traditional pilgrimage and the ascent to the hill, among other proposals for all audiences.
The operation will pay special attention to key points such as the fairground, the municipal tent or the parks of the municipality. There are also measures to promote mobility, such as access controls and parking spaces; or special surveillance in public transport (buses and light rail). The latter, will finish its service on those days from 21:00 hours.
