Government Delegate

Adriana Lastra Fernández

Appointed Delegate of the Government in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias by Royal Decree 679/2024, of 16 July.

Adriana Lastra joined the Autonomous Executive Commission of the FSA-PSOE in 2000 and in 2004 was elected Secretary of Social Movements and Relations with the NGOs. At that time he was appointed member of the Advisory Council of RTVE in Asturias (2004-2007), coming to hold its presidency. In 2008 she was elected Secretary of Municipal Policy of the FSA-PSOE, fulfilling that responsibility until 2014 when she was appointed Secretary of Municipal Policy of the PSOE. That same year she was elected deputy general secretary of the PSOE, carrying out that work until 2021.

In the autonomous elections of 2007, 2011 and 2012 she was elected deputy in the General Board of the Principality of Asturias for the eastern constituency, where she held the position of spokesperson of the Socialist Group in Local Administration and Equality Policies.

In the general elections of 2015, 2016, April and November 2019 and 2023 she was elected deputy by Asturias in the Congress of Deputies. Throughout these years he has been spokesperson for local administration, secretary of the Committee on Defense and president of the Committee on the Statute of the Deputy. In 2017 she was appointed deputy spokeswoman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies. In 2018 she became the spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group, a task she carried out until 2021. Until her appointment as a government delegate, she chaired the Commission of the State Pact against Gender Violence.

Since 2022, she has been Deputy Secretary of Political and Institutional Action of the FSA-PSOE.
