The Library specializes in subjects such as Public Administration, Public Service, Modernization of the Administration, Administrative Law and Constitutional Law, Quality of Public Services, Democratic Memory, etc.

Its bibliographic collection consists of more than 98,000 documents, of which there are, among others, more than 69,000 monographs and 1,800 journal titles. It also has a specialized collection on the Official Publications of the General Administration of the State from 1986 to 2019.

All staff of the Ministry, including those of its autonomous bodies, as well as citizens and external researchers, have access to the library and documentary services of the Library.

This service, provided during the working hours of the library by appointment, allows both reading in the room and access to the latest issues of the magazines received.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:30.

Users can search the existing bibliographic materials in the Library by consulting their online catalogue, of public access.

They can also delegate advanced searches or more complex queries to the library staff.

The reproduction of journal articles and book pages is provided for research and study purposes only. Said reproduction is subject to the regulations on intellectual property and is conditioned to the state of conservation of the original.

The loan of books is provided to the staff of the Ministry, including that of its autonomous bodies, as well as to citizens and external researchers.

It has a duration of 30 calendar days, which can be extended by the corresponding renewal, provided that the book has not been requested by another user. After this period has elapsed without being returned, the Library Service will proceed to the appropriate claim.

Works of reference and reference (encyclopedias, dictionaries, repertoires of legislation and jurisprudence, etc.) Are excluded from the loan. ), magazines, works from the collection of official publications, the old fund and materials that present conservation problems.

This service allows users of the Central Library of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory to request from other libraries an original or the reproduction of a publication that is not in its bibliographic background. The consultation of the borrowed originals will be adjusted to the conditions established by the borrowing library.

Likewise, this service allows other libraries to request works from the Central Library of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory for a period of 30 days, renewable as long as the work has not been requested by another user.

The Central Library of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory will attend to the requests of users for the acquisition of bibliographic materials within the scope of the library

The Central Library of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory sends monthly bulletins with the bibliographic novelties (monographs and journals) received.
