- Olimpia López chairs the Xunta of Security of “Lana Vuelta Feminine” to coordinate the device of the 4th stage between Monforte de Lemos and Antas de Ulla

- The device will have the participation of the Civil Guard, the Traffic subsector, DGT, National Police, Civil Protection, Fire Consortium, local police and the organization of the test, which will accompany the cyclists and fans throughout the different stages
- The 4th stage competition will take place on May 6 and will travel more than 115 kilometers between Monforte de Lemos and Antas de Ulla
- The subdelegate called for the responsibility of the people who come to see the test in the different sections, “having to respect the rules indicated by the professionals so that everything develops with the maximum guarantees.
The deputy delegate of the Government in Lugo, Olimpia López, presided today the Xunta of Security to coordinate the special security device that will be deployed on the occasion of the celebration of the 4th stage of “Lana Vuelta Mujer 2026”, which will take place between Monforte de Lemos and Antas de Ulla.
The subdelegate stressed that “the special device will have the collaboration of the Government through the State Security Forces and Corps, which will coordinate the regulation of traffic, the punctual cuts of circulation and the accompaniment of the race, in order to ensure the correct development of this test.”
Representatives of the Civil Traffic Guard, Civil Guard, General Traffic Directorate (DGT), National Police, Fire Consortium, Civil Protection, local police and technicians of the test organization participated in the meeting, with the aim of ensuring maximum safety for both cyclists and the public throughout the route.
The stage that will run through the province of Lugo will start on May 6, with a route of around 115 kilometers between Monforte de Lemos and Antas de Ulla, with scheduled departure at 14:18 hours and estimated arrival between 17:07 and 17:25 hours. The test will cross the municipalities of Monforte de Lemos, Bóveda, O Incio, Sarria, Paradela, Portomarín, Guntín, Taboada, Monterroso and Antas de Ulla.
Second was addressed in the Xunta of Security, it is a dynamic sports test on the road that runs through different types of roads, which requires a thorough planning of safety devices and traffic throughout the entire itinerary.
“Lea Vuelta Mujeres” was created in 2015 and, since then, managed to consolidate itself as a career with its own entity, standing as one of the most important stage tests of the women’s World Tour calendar. The stage in the province of Lugo is the last in Galician territory and will have two ports, where cyclists will fight for the mountain jersey.
The subdelegate stressed the importance of coordination between administrations and security forces to ensure that a sporting event of this magnitude develops normally and without incidents, while guaranteeing road safety and the mobility of citizens.
