The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, and the mayor of Padrón, Anxo Rei, advanced today the project promoted by the government to humanize the National 550 as it passes through this town, and which, second indicated Pedro Blanco, “materializes the joint work that we have developed both administrations in recent months”.
The delegate traveled this morning to the City of Padrón where he analyzed with the mayor the impact of this advance of urban mobility in which the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility will invest 3 million euros, fulfilling “a demand of the Local Government and the citizens themselves”.
Pedro Blanco stressed that this action will create a safe and accessible space, with space for pawns, bike lanes, green areas and urban furniture, which will extend for almost one kilometer between the urban center and the border with the province of Pontevedra: “A project similar to others that we are developing in other localities of Galicia and that will undoubtedly improve the road safety of the neighbors of this locality and of the people who, increasingly, if they travel in alternative means such as the bicycle”.
In a meeting held at the Casa do Concello, Pedro Blanco and Anxo Rei were able to see the progress in this project, which is currently being drafted, in order to start the administrative process as soon as possible.
