- In Spain, a new record is reached, surpassing the barrier of the 22 million contributors in seasonally adjusted terms
Social Security registered in the Community of Madrid a figure of 3,879,420 contributors in the past month, according to data published today by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration. These figures represent an increase of 0.56% compared to the February data, 21,719 more contributors. In terms Year-on-year, the increase is 2.99% of affiliation to Social Security, with a total of 112,598 more troops.
Of all the members of the Social Security in the Community of Madrid, 3,434,177 belong to the General Regime, 441,542 are autonomous, 3,700 are registered in the Regime of the Sea and do not have any contributors in the Coal Regime. Likewise, 1,796 are registered in the agricultural sector and 94,759 in the household services sector.
Record data at the national level
The increase nationwide is 1%, which represents 211,510 more affiliates in the last twelve months. This is the largest increase recorded in a month of March in the entire history, placing the number of average affiliates in record number for this month, with 21,882,147 contributors. According to the Ministry, the daily affiliation remained above 21.9 million people from March 16 to 30.
With this good data, we also obtain record data in the seasonally adjusted series, surpassing for the first time the barrier of the 22 million contributors, namely 22.010.532, that is, 523.579 more than in March 2025.
"We have surpassed the historic milestone of 22 million Social Security members, adding 2.2 million jobs since the labor reform and 3.3 million since 2018. In less than two years we have added an average of two million members," said the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.
