- Once again, the Consistory will have a specific device for its traditional enclosures, declared of National Tourist Interest.
The City Council of San Sebastián de los Reyes has held the Local Security Board in which it has finalized the device that will be deployed during the festivities in honor of the Most Holy Christ of Remedies that will take place from August 24 to 31.
The operation will have a reinforcement of National Police forces that, in coordination with the Local Police and the Civil Protection and Emergency teams, will be present in the streets of the municipality of Madrid to ensure the correct development of the acts and the safety of both neighbors and visitors.
The traditional enclosures, declared of National Tourist Interest, will have, as every year, a specific device to ensure the integrity of runners and spectators. This deployment will cover all sections of the route, which runs through the historic center until you reach the bullring.
In addition to the demand for the lock-ups, the Consistory foresees a massive influx of people attracted by the extensive programming, which includes concerts, parades and cultural or sports events. To manage this volume of people, mobility will be controlled through temporary pedestrianisations, traffic restrictions at strategic points and additional measures during bullfighting celebrations.
The Local Security Board has been co-chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of the town, Lucía Soledad Fernández Alonso. It was attended by members of the Government team, the National Police, the Local Police and the Community of Madrid.
Trinidad Núñez has valued the “excellent coordination” and “great work” carried out by all the Security Forces and Corps highlighting the “extraordinary effort of the National Police both with troops from the Alcobendas – San Sebastián de los Reyes Police Station and with reinforcements provided by the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid”.
Finally, the deputy delegate took advantage of the meeting to thank the City Council for the willingness of all professionals and personnel involved in the extinguishing of this summer’s fires in the region, highlighting their “effort, commitment and dedication”.
