The second territorial meeting convened by the Government Delegation has brought together a fortnight of municipalities in El Molar to continue advancing in the design of the security, mobility and civil protection device for the activities planned during the eclipse of August 12.
The attendees have observed a minute of silence for the victims and affected by the fire of Los Gallardos, in Almería.
The delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, who has presided over it, has stressed the importance of anticipating and working in a coordinated way so that “an exceptional event can develop with the maximum guarantees”.
This is the second of the meetings convened to strengthen the institutional and operational coordination of the device that may be necessary on the occasion of the eclipse after the one held yesterday in Buitrago de Lozoya. The remaining two, soon, will be in Collado Medio and Alcalá de Henares.
They have also accompanied the delegate of the Government, in addition to the mayors of the area, responsible for the Citizen Security and Civil Protection units of the Delegation; representatives of the State Security Forces and Bodies; of the General Directorate of Traffic; of the Community of Madrid and of the local police of the villages in the area.
