The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, encouraged the citizens to participate in the Solidarity Race “Route 091”, an initiative organized by the National Police that will be held on May 10 in Ourense, in favor of the Association Paper Kisses, which helps oncological children. He did so during the presentation of the test, at the Provincial Police Station, where he was accompanied by the Chief Commissioner of the National Police, Juan Cástor Vázquez.
In his speech, Eladio Santos congratulated the National Police for organizing this solidarity initiative, “an example of the democratic values of the institution and its commitment to the promotion of sport.” “In addition to maintaining security on our streets, this institution is closer to the citizens with initiatives like this,” he said.
The subdelegate explained that in this third edition the proceeds will go to the Association Kisses of Paper, “an entity that performs an essential work to improve the lives of children hospitalized with cancer and their families.” “Through each registration we will be helping a partnership that promotes progress in care and needs funding to continue with its projects,” he added.
In this sense, Eladio Santos maintained that with the participation in this test “we all win”, since it is “a solidarity action through a healthy activity”. “With this initiative, we are transforming the energy of sport into hope and support for those who need it most,” he said.
