- The municipality prepares the security of its patron saint’s parties that will be held in September
The City of Loeches has held its Local Security Board with the aim of coordinating the special device for the next patron saint’s parties and analyzing the latest citizen security data in the municipality.
The meeting was co-chaired by the government’s deputy delegate in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez; and the mayor of Loeches, Antonio Theodori Andrés. The session was also attended by representatives of the municipal government team; Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection and Community of Madrid.
The first item on the agenda focused on the organization of the security plan for the patron saint’s festivities in September. Among other actions, the coordination and reinforcement of police forces has been contemplated, as well as special measures of mobility and surveillance in the areas with greater public influx, such as the fairgrounds.
In addition, specific measures have been discussed for traditional bullfighting celebrations and pyrotechnic shows with the aim of ensuring their normal development and the safety of neighbors and visitors.
Subsequently, the reports and security indicators of the last period have been analyzed, which confirm that, despite an increase contained in criminal offenses - motivated mainly by crimes against heritage - Loeches remains a safe municipality.
Among the main indicators, the locality ended the first quarter of 2026 with a crime rate 18 points below the average of the Community of Madrid, according to data from the State Secretariat’s Crime Balance.
Likewise, the reports reflect an increase in the resolution of incidents as a result of the coordination between the agents of the Municipal Police and the Civil Guard responsible for security in the municipality, as highlighted by the subdelegate of the Government, at the end of the Board.
