- It is a body of coordination and police cooperation for those municipalities that do not have Local Police
The municipality of Orusco de Tajuña has today constituted its Security Commission in a session co-chaired by the subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of the town, Vanesa Gracia Tapia.
The constitutive session was also attended by representatives of the Civil Guard and the Community of Madrid, thus formalizing the creation of this body of coordination and cooperation between the administrations and the Security Forces and Bodies in municipalities without their own Local Police.
The subdelegate of the Government has stressed that it is “a very useful instrument to analyze the situation of security and coexistence in municipalities that do not have Local Police” and it supposes “the beginning of a relationship between administrations that will be very fruitful”.
In this regard, the mayor has expressed that the constitution of this body “will allow us to work together with the Government Delegation in an area as important as security” and added that “although the crime rate is low and the data verify it, it is very important in view of possible incidents that may occur and, above all, in view of the patron saint’s holidays”.
