Bachelor of Law from the University of Granada. General Administration Career Officer of the Provincial Council of Jaén.

He was Councillor of Finance of the City of Jaén during two legislatures (2007-2011) and (2015-2019), provincial deputy of Social Welfare, Equality and International Cooperation and vice-president of the Provincial Council between 2007 and 2011 and, later, second vice-president (2015-2019). In addition, he has been president of the Consumer Arbitration Board of the province of Jaén

During the XIII and XIV Legislature he has held the position of senator for Jaén. In this position he developed, among others, functions of First Vice-President of the Committee on the Interior; spokesperson for Consumption, Spokesperson for the Public Service; spokesperson for the Committees on Industry, Trade and Tourism, and on Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
