He is responsible for the functions of coordination, support and assistance to the Minister; as well as for the coordination of the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction and Reparation of the damages caused by DANA and the Commissioner for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Spain in Freedom. It includes among its competences those relating to the communication unit of the Ministry.
