The deputy delegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, highlighted the commitment of the Government of Spain to the modernization of workspaces and public attention in the administration. He did so during a visit to the building that houses the provincial directorates of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) and the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) to supervise the result of the reform carried out on the ground floor.
Eladio Santos held a meeting with the provincial director of the INSS and the TGSS, Iria Fernández, and the rest of the management team to know the result of the works done at the headquarters of the Rúa do Concello, which were awarded for more than 240,000 euros and lasted six months. “The administrative space was completely renovated and adapted to the new model of attention to the citizen,” explained Santos.
In addition, the subdelegate announced the recent award of new works in the building for the ventilation and air conditioning installation for more than 280,000 euros. “Investment and permanent renewal. This is what this government does to ensure optimal care and maximum effectiveness of public services,” he said.
These two actions are in addition to another previous one carried out on the first floor of the property last year for about 40,000 euros to improve energy efficiency by replacing the windows. “In short, more than half a million euros destined in the last year to make this historic property of Ourense a work space of the 21st century,” he said.
Reform of the ground floor
The performance supervised today and recently completed was awarded for 241,756.6 euros (with taxes) and consisted of the installation of high-performance acoustic and thermal enclosures, the use of sustainable, recycled and non-polluting materials and the complete reconfiguration of the administrative area. A new pavement was placed and the ceiling plates were replaced, while new functional divisions were executed.
During the six months of the works, it was necessary to temporarily transfer the workers of the ground floor to the offices of Celso Emilio Ferreiro Street. For this reason, the subdelegate thanked the staff for the work done during the change of the facilities, showing “patience, professionalism and daily commitment”.
New jobs
The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration this week published on the public sector contracting platform the recent award of works for the replacement of air conditioning equipment at the headquarters for 282,359.56 euros (VAT included).
