Francisco Martín presides over a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the accident in Adamuz

• The serious rail accident has so far left 39 people dead and more than a hundred injured.

The workers of the Delegation of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, headed by the delegate, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the subdelegate, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, have observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the railway accident that took place yesterday Sunday in the town of Adamuz, Córdoba.

This gesture has also been joined by the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory in Spain, Fernando Martínez López; as well as representatives of the State Security Forces and civil society in Madrid.

The Delegation wanted to join in the displays of solidarity and remembrance towards the families and relatives of those affected that are happening throughout the country. “All the affection for the relatives and relatives of the victims and also the best wishes for a speedy recovery to the more than a hundred wounded who are currently hospitalized in the hospitals of Córdoba” said the government delegate.

“I would also like to express our full appreciation and thanks to the hundreds of public servants who have been working all night on rescue work, from the health, security and emergency areas to face this catastrophe. Public servants who in Andalusia and also in Madrid, have been focused on giving the necessary response” he added.

The serious accident caused by the collision of two high-speed trains last night in Adamuz has so far caused 39 fatalities and more than a hundred injuries, several of them serious.
