The labour market in the Community has more than half a million members in the last twelve months (506,451 in the original series) and in the last four years, since the entry into force of the labour reform, it has accumulated more than 350,000 members.
The Community has been three consecutive months above the 3.8 million members, having started the year slightly above the 3.7 million. In particular, the month with the highest affiliation was the month of November.
The number of women affiliated to social security continues in Madrid also in historically high figures, since they are 47.9%, being 1,849,417 the affiliated women counted as of December 2025.
The number of non-professional female caregivers continues to increase, this year adding 1092 caregivers to the 1,343 caregivers who have entered the system. Women in this non-professional sector account for 86%..
As for the household system, the number of participants that has dropped in one year by 4,131 people, 4.3%, continues to fall. In this system, women account for 95.9% of workers.
By sectors, the most important are information and communications (2.88%), as well as storage and hospitality, as well as administrative activities and auxiliary services, which has increased by 3.4% as well as health and social services activities.
National
At the national level, it should be noted that “Nine out of ten members are indefinite, the good functioning of the labor market not only means more employment; it is of higher quality. Before the labor reform, 3 out of 10 employees had a temporary contract,” said the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.
