The City of Navacerrada has today completed the initial procedures necessary for its accession to the comprehensive system of monitoring and protection of victims of gender violence VioGén.
It has been in the course of the extraordinary Local Security Board convened for this purpose and that they have co-chaired the subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, and the mayor of the municipality, Pablo Jorge Herrero.
On the one hand, the “Protocol of collaboration and coordination between the State Security Forces and Local Police Forces for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence” has been initialled.
In addition, the Operational Procedure of coordination and collaboration has been signed between the Command of the Civil Guard of Madrid, which serves the municipality from the post of Becerril de la Sierra, and the City of Navacerrada, and the Police Coordination Table has been established for an operational distribution of the functions of victim protection.
Members of the municipal government team, representatives of the Civil Guard and Local Police of the Community of Madrid have also participated in the Board and, on the part of the Government Delegation, the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, Eva Corrales, has also been present.
Security data
The Board has also analyzed the security data of the municipality, which evolves positively in 2026 with respect to the same time span of 2025, as there has been a 54.55% decrease in total criminal offenses, as a direct consequence of the decrease in offenses against the patrimony of 50%.
With regard to the rates of police effectiveness, it should be noted that 45% of known criminal offences have been clarified, and the rate of arrests and investigations has increased by 136.36 points in relation to the same time frame of the previous year.
In relation to the crime rate, it stood at 38.05 points in 2025, well below the average of the Community of Madrid (54.9) according to the State Secretariat Crime Balance in 2025.
