Renfe modifies and extends until mid-August the alternative transport plan established on the commercial service trains that connect Asturias, Cantabria and León with Madrid, by extending the cut for the works that Adif is developing for the construction of the new High Speed line to Cantabria. The company guarantees the mobility of the passengers of these trains and those of the public services affected by these works, as they pass through Palencia.
The affectation for works to the train service, scheduled in principle until the end of July, has been redesigned so that its extension until the second weekend of August affects a smaller number of circulations. A total of 10 trains are abolished, so Renfe has scheduled and extended its active Alternative Plan so far.
The works of Adif will affect the Palencia–Monzón de Campos section from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 to 15:30 until August 11, as well as certain periods of the weekends of August 1, 2, 8 and 9. Additionally, rail access to the Palencia station is not allowed during the weekend of August 8 and 9.
