The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda has delivered the first 127.2 million to the Community of Madrid within the Plan 2026-2030 that includes annual items that in addition represent an investment of 667.8 million in Madrid.
At the same time, the Community of Madrid must contribute in these four years a Total of 445 million, which will entail a total investment in the region of 1,113 million in four years and which will serve for the implementation of new public policies on housing throughout the territory of Madrid.
In this way, the Ministry of Housing fulfills the commitment of the Government of Spain with the autonomous communities and with all public administrations to respond in a coordinated way to the problem of housing.
Likewise, to ensure a transparent and efficient management of these resources, the Ministry has activated the process of hearing and public information of the Ministerial Order regulating the mechanisms of monitoring, evaluation and provision of information of the State Housing Plan 2026-2030, in accordance with Royal Decree 326/2026, of April 22, which regulates the Plan itself.
The implementation of a common system of information exchange will allow for regular and detailed monitoring of the progress of the new State Plan. This will result in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports to assess the degree of compliance with the objectives. This formula will help to guarantee the essential aspects included in the ENP, such as the permanent protection of the homes promoted with this Plan - without possibility of disqualification - or their allocation through public and objective procedures.
More construction, More rehabilitation, More protection
The State Housing Plan 2026-2030 —which received the unanimous endorsement of the CCAA last May at the Sectoral Conference on Housing and Urban Agenda— triples resources over the ENP 2022-2025, raising investment to 7 billion euros with a triple axis of action based on more construction, more rehabilitation and more protection.
The objective: to expand the public park of affordable housing, but also to make clear the paradigm shift in housing policies in our country promoted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda and the Government of Spain: that not a single euro more is destined to homes that in the future can be privatized, thus guaranteeing the right of access.
