María Luz Fernández Marín

María Luz Fernández Marín (Cuenca, 1960) holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia, a specialist in Family and Community Medicine, and a master’s degree in Psychiatric Practice. He has specialized training in Clinical Management in Mental Health.

He has worked as a doctor of Primary Care in different Basic Health Areas of the province of Cuenca and as a doctor of the Residential Unit (UR) of the Provincial Institute of Social Services of the Provincial Council of Cuenca.

She has also been director of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Residence of the Provincial Council and coordinator of the UME (Mental Health Half Stay Unit) of Cuenca.

He has also collaborated in several working groups, such as the one responsible for the drafting of the Regional Mental Health Plan and Mental Health Strategy in 2000; and has participated in several publications of a technical nature, such as The White Paper of the Mid-Stay Mental Health Units of Castilla-La Mancha.

From July 2015 until February 16, 2022, she held the position of provincial delegate of Health in Cuenca.
