Born in Palencia in 1995, Eduardo Santiago holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Salamanca.

He was the youngest senator in Spain during the brief XIII Legislature (2019) in the Upper House.

Between 2021 and 2023, he served as chief of staff of the mayor of the Council of Sale of Bathrooms, combining this position with the preparation of oppositions to the local administration.

In 2024 and 2025 he approved as General Administration Technician in the Provincial Council of Palencia and in the City of Valladolid, respectively. Until his appointment as subdelegate of the Government in Palencia, he held the position of Technician in the service of Provincial Plans of the Provincial Council of Palencia, being on leave in his place of the City of Valladolid.

He is actively linked to the organic life of the PSOE of Palencia, where he holds the positions of secretary of organization in the Local Group and secretary of training of the provincial executive.
