- It is a meeting at the beginning of the year in which the security situation in the region has been assessed and challenges have been raised for the coming year.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held a meeting today with Javier María Galván Ruiz, Superior Chief of Police of Madrid.
The meeting analyzed the situation of criminality in the region where there is a reduction in conventional criminality, not so the cybercrime that increases, although to a lesser extent than in the national whole. Some data that have served to set the objectives for the year just released, identifying the main lines of the actions that allow to continue maintaining Madrid as a safe region in 2026.
Francisco Martín Aguirre stressed that “the year 2025 has meant that the Community of Madrid continues to be increasingly safe”. Looking ahead to the new year “we plan to continue strengthening this security in Madrid to continue making it a reference region also for its security. We will work to reverse the proliferation of white weapons in our region and also to eradicate the messages and hate crimes that pollute the coexistence in our streets,” he said.
