- Coordinated the security plan for the festivities of San Antonio, which will be held from June 11 to 14
Daganzo recorded a crime rate in 2025 of 28.3 points, more than 26 points below the Community of Madrid average, which stood at 54.9 points, and this despite the fact that this figure is the lowest in the region’s history, which makes this difference even “more noticeable”.
This has been pointed out by the delegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, in the course of the Local Security Board the municipality, which has co-chaired with the deputy mayor and councilor delegate of Citizen Security, Francisco Gallego Díaz. Representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection and the Community of Madrid have also participated.
Francisco Martín has linked these positive figures to the “very good work” carried out by both the Civil Guard and the Local Police (who together with Protección Civil presented their Report of activities corresponding to 2025), and to their good coordination, something that he wanted to thank them and in what has encouraged them to continue deepening.
Special device for the San Antonio festivities
The Local Security Board has also addressed the security plan for the San Antonio festivities, which are held from June 11 to 14.
The operation will be made up of members of the Civil Guard, local police officers and volunteers from the Civil Protection Group of Daganzo, who will be deployed in the more than 30 scheduled events. They will also have the reinforcement of agents of other local police in the area, and a Violeta Point during the weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) to prevent or attend to possible cases of male violence.
Gender-based violence
The Daganzo Local Police Force has been fully incorporated into the VioGén System since 2018, having renewed its commitment in 2025, although the government delegate has reminded them that it would be pending the updating of the operating procedure through an addendum to adapt it to the regulations in force since June 30, 2025.
In addition, it has invited its Local Police to join the pilot procedure of the VioGén 2 system that is going to be applied in the Community of Madrid to improve the protection of victims, so that it can be part of the first group of municipalities that are going to implement it.
