The security device that the Government Delegation in Madrid will activate for the one-way match of The quarterfinals of the UEFA Conference League, which will be played tomorrow, April 9, in Vallecas, between the Vallecan Ray and the Greek Athens AEK will be made up of about 370 troops.
This match has been classified as a High Risk by the Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, which implies that clubs are obliged to adopt additional security measures such as the prohibition of the sale of tickets in person on the day of the match, the delimitation of a safe space for the visiting fans and the reinforced control of access to the pavilions or stadiums.
In addition, the security forces reinforce their preventive deployments, especially with regard to the surveillance of the swellings, always in coordination with all the operators involved in the celebration of the sporting event and the protection of the attendees.
Specifically, the operation will be formed on this occasion by agents of the National Police —from the Police Intervention Unit, the Provincial Information Brigade, the Mobile Brigade, Subsoil Unit, Cavalry Unit and Canine Guides—; of the Municipal Police of Madrid; components of SAMUR-Civil Protection; of the Fire Brigade, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
About 745 Greek fans are expected to attend with admission, with a maximum capacity of almost 15,000 people.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
