• This match has been classified as High Risk by the Anti-Violence Commission, so security around the stadium will be strengthened.
• The stadium of Butarque, in Leganés, has been the place chosen to play the match after determining LaLiga that could not be played in the stadium of Vallecas due to the state of the playing field.
A total of 350 members will make up the security device that the Government Delegation in Madrid will activate for the party of the day 24 of LaLiga 2025/26, which will face Vallecano Lightning and Atlético de Madrid on Sunday February 15, starting at 4:15 p.m., in the stadium of Butarque (Leganés).
This party was yesterday classified as High Risk by the Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport. This implies that clubs are obliged to adopt additional security measures in the system of ticket sales, separation of hobbies within sports venues and control of access to the stadium.
In addition, the security forces reinforce their preventive deployments, especially with regard to the surveillance of the swellings, always in coordination with all the operators involved in the celebration of the sporting event and the protection of the attendees.
To this circumstance must be added LaLiga’s announcement that the match could not be played in the Vallecano Ray field, considering that the playing field does not yet meet the necessary guarantees for the celebration of the match in safety conditions, and the choice of the Leganés stadium as an alternative venue for it.
The operation, which will be in charge of monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —from the Police Intervention Unit, the Provincial Information Brigade and the Mobile Brigade—; from the municipal police of Madrid and Leganés; components of SAMUR-Civil Protection; from the Fire Brigade, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
