The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Adriana Lastra, visited today the headquarters of the Institute of Studies in Emergencies and Catastrophes (IEDUCAE) in Oviedo to know at first hand the collaboration program that the entity will develop together with the Civil Guard in the field of training in health emergencies.
During the visit, the training plan was presented that will allow a total of 720 Civil Guard agents to be trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques and use and management of the Automated External Defibrillator (DEA), within the Salvacorazón program.
The first call will begin on September 18, 2026 and includes the realization of 24 training actions aimed at 288 civil guards, ending on December 11. Subsequently, on January 15, 2027, a second phase will begin with 18 additional training actions, in which 432 agents will participate, until June 11, 2027.
Each of the actions will have a duration of six teaching hours and will conform to the basic training program established by the regulations of the Principality of Asturias. Once the training and the corresponding evaluations have been completed, the participants will obtain the official accreditation for the use and management of the DEA, in accordance with the provisions of the Health Council of the Principality of Asturias.
The initiative reinforces the preparedness of agents in situations of cardiorespiratory arrest and demonstrates the shared commitment of the institutions involved with the continuous improvement of professional training and the protection of citizens.
After the visit to IEDUCAE, the Government delegate visited the facilities of Transinsa, accompanied by its director, Carlos Paniceres, where she was able to learn about the activity carried out by the company and the specialized services it provides in the field of health transport and emergencies.
