The action was carried out in the vicinity of kilometer 38.6 of the A-6 motorway.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has completed the works of execution of the new pedestrian itinerary on the upper pass at kilometer 38.6 of the A-6, as it passes through the municipality of Collado Villalba. The works have had a budget of 832,803.03 euros (VAT included) financed from the European funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The action has consisted in the execution of a pedestrian itinerary that allows access to the different establishments and homes located on the northern service road (direction A Coruña) both from the urban center of Collado Villalba through the avenue of Honorio Lozano, and from the southern service road (direction Madrid).
To this end, the following works have been carried out:
- Extension of the sidewalk on the Madrid side along the entire road that connects the avenue of Honorio Lozano with the northern service road.
- Implementation of a new semi-fortified pedestrian crossing in the road that connects the avenue of Honorio Lozano with the northern service road, at the height of the disembarkation of the pedestrian ramp coming from the southern service road.
- Implementation of a new lighting system in the road that connects the avenue of Honorio Lozano with the northern service road and improvement of the lighting of the latter.
- Installation of new containment systems.
- Waterproofing of the structure, improvement of the firm in the whole area and renewal of the signage.
- Relocation of the existing pedestrian crossing at kilometer 38,565 of the northern service road to kilometer 38,600, with the creation of a physical island of refuge in a cebreated area.
- Installation of an anti-vandal screen.
- Environmental integration actions.
