The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning in the Delegation the act of condemnation of the machista crimes committed so far in 2026, which occurred in Las Palmas, Jaén and Cádiz; after the declaration of the same by the Ministry of Equality. There are already three women killed by gender violence in just two weeks of the year, 1,344 since there are records.
Together with the deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, Julio Abalde, the delegate condemned the murders, conveyed his solidarity with the families and friends of the victims and reiterated the commitment of the Government to continue working hand in hand with the other administrations and with society in the elimination of all violence against women, as well as in the promotion of equality. He pointed out the seriousness of the situation of adding three new victims “as a result of this structural violence that we must eradicate.”
