- During his visit to Ciempozuelos, he met the project of rehabilitation of the main post of Civil Guard, financed with municipal funds.
The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, visited today the facilities of the Civil Guard in San Martín de la Vega and Ciempozuelos, strategic centers for citizen security in southeast Madrid.
The visit to San Martín de la Vega comes after the definitive appointment at the end of the year of the municipality as the headquarters of the III Company of the Civil Guard of the Community of Madrid, a “truly relevant” step so that all resources and services are closer to the neighbors of the region. Inaugurated in 2022, the facilities include, among other units and services, the Intervention of Weapons and Explosives and the investigation teams of telematic or urban crime.
Accompanied by the mayor, Rafael Martínez Pérez, and the head of the Civil Guard Command of Madrid, Colonel Carlos de Miguel, he made a tour of the premises and held a meeting with the new troops incorporated into the quartering. In total, the workforce has increased by 20%, from 33 to 42, “a very significant increase to continue working in favor of security.”
The delegate said that “the materialization of the transfer of the III Company to San Martín de la Vega means a reinforcement in personnel and resources at the service of this entire region to continue advancing in security. The Community of Madrid is increasingly secure, but we are not satisfied and we continue working to improve the data in each of its municipalities. A good sign of this is San Martín de la Vega, which is reflecting a security situation.”
Next, the delegate traveled, together with Colonel Carlos de Miguel, to the post of the Civil Guard in Ciempozuelos, the main post in the southern region of the region. They were received by the mayor of the municipality, Raquel Jimeno Pérez, who explained the main lines of the rehabilitation project that are going to be carried out in the facilities with municipal financing.
Francisco Martín wanted to thank the City Council for its efforts in security, which will result in an improvement in working conditions for the agents who serve in Ciempozuelos and also for the citizens who come to present their complaints there, since the project includes the extension of the waiting room and the complaints room.
He has also pointed out the collaboration between administrations and coordination as the way to continue making progress in improving security throughout the region.
