Jesús Javier Plata Vera

Graduated in Law from the University of La Laguna, Jesús Javier Plata Vera has extensive experience in the management of different Canary Islands Public Administrations, as well as in general health management.

Career official, he has worked for the City of Vallehermoso (La Gomera), for the Island Council of La Gomera and for the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, where he has held different functions within the Canary Institute of Training and Employment, the General Directorate of Protection of Minors and the Family and the General Secretariat of the Canary Health Service, coming to occupy the position of Secretary General between 2015 and 2017.

In addition, he has taught at the School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands (ESSSCAN) in the field of recruitment and administrative procedure.

His extensive background as a professional in the service of the Canary Islands Public Administrations has allowed him to accumulate extensive knowledge on different aspects of management, from human resources, agriculture, the environment and urban planning at the municipal level, to budgets, contracting, economic management, subsidies and health at the regional level.
