The headquarters of the Tajo Hydrographic Confederation (CHT) today hosted the information day, “Water, Territory and Urbanism: Keys for Coordination”, co-organized with the Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid (ASPRIMA) and aimed at professionals in the real estate sector, with the aim of explaining the different administrative procedures of the basin agency related to the management and protection of the hydraulic public domain (DPH) and resolving the most frequent doubts.
In recent years, the number of administrative files managed by the CHT has increased to 38,500 files opened in 2025, of which 4,200 are within the scope of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The processing of these files often involves the writing of complex technical studies and, consequently, lengthy processing times.
The president of the CHT, Antonio Yáñez, and the president of ASPRIMA, Carolina Roca, highlighted in the opening of the day the willingness of both parties to increase efficiency in the processing of these files through a better knowledge of their particularities by the applicants of the real estate sector.
The day was attended by 80 participants who represented different companies, organizations and administrations linked to real estate promotion in the Community of Madrid. During the session, Confederation officials discussed administrative procedures and the competency framework in areas of interest to the real estate sector, such as:
Urban Planning and Authorizations: Contextualization of planning reports and streamlining of procedures through responsible declarations.
Flood Risk Management: Analysis of the Flood Risk Management Plan (PGRI), hazard maps (ARPSIs) and shared responsibilities in prevention.
These presentations have been complemented by an exchange of doubts and questions specific to each thematic block. The day has constituted a space for dialogue necessary to improve coordination between both parties.
The day consolidates the will of the CHT to maintain a fluid and technical dialogue with different sectors of society, in the interest of increasing efficiency in the administrative processing of the management of the DPH.
