International Congress on "The Liberal Triennium Two Hundred Years Later. Understanding the past, reflecting on the present"
The Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, through the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, has organized a series of activities commemorating the Liberal Triennium (1820-1823), a historical period that involved the reimplementation of the Constitution of 1812 and is still a symbol today of the struggle of liberalism against the absolutism prevailing in those years.
In order to commemorate this anniversary, the Secretary of State scheduled an International Congress entitled "The Liberal Triennium Two Hundred Years Later. Understand the past, reflect the present", which was held in the Senate from May 31 to June 2, 2022, directed by Professors Manuel Chust and Ignacio Fernández Sarasola of the Jaume I University of Castellón and the University of Oviedo respectively. From this forum of study and debate it has been intended to recognize, value and disseminate the principles that so exemplary embodied the women and men who contributed to lead this period of our history.
