The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, visited the facilities today of the Rescue and Mountain Intervention Group (GREIM) of the Civil Guard in the Port of Navacerrada, where tomorrow an advanced command post will be installed for monitoring the eclipse and coordination of the necessary actions in the northwest of the region.
There, a helicopter will be prepositioned and the Civil Guard’s mountain specialists will be activated due to the need for action in difficult terrain.
Next to this there will be a second advanced command post located in the pools of Riosequillo, in Buitrago del Lozoya, where the Citizen Security Unit of the Command will be as a reserve unit. In both, drones will be available as means of aerial surveillance that will complement the terrestrial deployment.

Francisco Martín has recounted some of the most important recommendations for tomorrow’s day. Among them; do not make fire or smoke or throw cigarette butts, since “any recklessness can have devastating consequences”; observe the eclipse only from authorized areas and always attend to the indications of the authorities and emergency services; those who travel in a private vehicle, must park only in authorized places, never on dry vegetation, and keeping clear the access and evacuation routes; collect all the waste because “in nature, the best footprint is the one we do not leave”; at the end of the phenomenon, do not enter the mountain since it will be almost at night and it is easy to disorient.
